‘If scared of investigation, then why commit corruption…?’: BJP claps back, accuses AAP of playing victim card

If you are scared of investigative agencies, then why did you commit corruption…,’ quipped BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia while addressing the media over AAP’s rant against the party. AAP launched a scathing attack on the BJP after Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was summoned by the BJP in connection with a probe into the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy.
“Manish Sisodia will be arrested exclaimed AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj, adding that it had nothing to do with excise policy and everything to do with the upcoming Gujarat elections.
“If you are scared of investigative agencies, then why did you commit corruption, Arvind Kejriwal Ji and Manish Sisodia Ji?” Gaurab Bhatia said while addressing a press conference today, and added that ‘AAP should stop playing the victim card.’
Bhatia further said that when a central investigative agency calls for questioning, these dishonest politicians adopt the modus operandi of ‘crying wolf’ by repeatedly announcing that ‘xyz member of the party will be arrested in the said case’ prior to the actual summoning.
The BJP leader further took a dig at AAP leader Satyendra Jain saying if he is so honest, as claimed by Arvind Kejriwal, then why hasn’t he gotten bail in the last five months?
“The Central government’s CBI will arrest Manish Sisodia tomorrow. The CBI and ED have raided at least 500 different places and found nothing. Everyone can understand…it has nothing to do with Excise Policy, but with Gujarat elections,” said AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj earlier today.
“CBI raid was conducted at my house for 14 hours, but nothing came out. Searched my bank locker, nothing came out in it. They did not find anything in my village. Now they have called me to CBI Headquarters at 11 am tomorrow. I will go and give my full cooperation. Satyameva Jayate,” Sisodia tweeted in Hindi.
