Chiranjeevi opens up about GodFather’s original version, says he ‘wasn’t satisfied’ with Mohanlal’s Lucifer

Chiranjeevi-starrer GodFather has released today (October 5) and the movie is getting a positive response from the audience. Directed by Mohan Raja, the film is the Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal in the lead role.
Recently, a video of Chiranjeevi has taken over the web. In the same, he can be heard saying that he was not satisfied with the movie’s original version.
At the pre-release event of GodFather, the actor said, “Despite watching it many times, I wasn’t completely satisfied with Lucifer. It is after some changes that Raja brought to the screenplay, I was satisfied and it gave me the confidence to do the film. The film will engage without any dull moments. It will definitely satisfy you all.”
Chiranjeevi’s comment has left Mohanlal fans miffed and many took to social media to express their disappointment. One user went on to write, “Taking Remake Rights and giving bad comments about Lucifer.”
Another one commented, “U can’t even come 1% of @Mohanlal acting.”
GodFather has been produced by Ram Charan, R. B. Choudary and N. V. Prasad under their banners Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. The movie also stars Salman Khan, Nayanthara and Satyadev Kancharana. The music for the film has been composed by S. Thaman with cinematography handled by Nirav Shah.
Sometime back, Chiranjeevi, in an interview, had revealed that Salman agreed to appear in the movie without reading the script, adding that the actor also refused to take any payment for his cameo. When the Bollywood superstar was offered money for the role, he said that one cannot buy his love towards Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi.
