A day after Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale raised concerns over rising income inequality and growing poverty in the country, Congress credited RSS’ awareness on subject to Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh took to his official Twitter handle highlighting the impact of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, a cross-country march helmed by Rahul Gandhi.
“What was the impact of Bharat Jodo Yatra under Rahul ji? Ramdev Nehru started praising the Gandhi family. Mohan Bhagwat started going to the Masjid Madrasa. RSS General Secretary Dattatray Hosabale ji also started worrying about the increasing poverty in the country, the growing gap between the rich and the poor and unemployment.”
It hasn’t been even a month to the Yatra and the Sangh Parivar has started worrying about inflation, poverty and unemployment in the country, he said.
Digvijaya Singh went on to give an advice to the RSS General Secretary saying, “Dattatreya ji, understand this, due to the policies of Modi ji, the wealth of 100 big families of the country is increasing and the income of poor and middle class families of the country is decreasing. Why don’t you discuss this subject with Modi ji?”
The Congress leader’s remarks have come a day after Hosabale expressed concern over rising income inequality and unemployment in the country, asserting that poverty is posing as a “demon-like challenge in front of us.”
However, Hosabale said several steps have been taken in the last few years to address this challenge.
He blamed the “faulty’ economic policies of the earlier governments for the “ills” in the economy.
