Amit Shah has gone crazy’: RJD’s Lalu Yadav slams Home Minister for attacking Bihar govt, exudes confidence about 2024 win

Rashtriya Janata Dal Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav  lashed out at Home Minister Amit Shah, asserting that the senior BJP leader had ‘gone crazy’. He was responding to the other party’s assertions that the state did not ‘want the grand alliance’s jungle raaj‘. Yadav’s remarks also came ahead of a meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi that will also be attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
“Amit Shah has totally gone crazy. His government has been removed in Bihar. BJP will face a rout in 2024 as well. That is why he is going there running and speaking of jungle raaj and all those things. What did he do when he was in Gujarat? Jungle raaj was in Gujarat when he was there,” the former Bihar chief minister told reporters.
Kumar and Yadav are likely to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday evening. The two parties had recently joined hands to form the Bihar government after CM Kumar broke away from the BJP-led NDA.
Nitish Kumar and I will meet Sonia Gandhi. We are making all efforts to unite the opposition…Yes, we will uproot (them). How many times do I need to say this?,” Yadav added, upon being asked about the Opposition’s odds of removing Prime Minister Narendra Modi from power in 2024.
At a rally held in Purnea, Shah had asserted that the jodi of Kumar and RJD president Lalu Prasad will be wiped out ( soopda saaf‘) in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and, a year later, the BJP will win a majority on its own in the state assembly elections.
