PM does not need any validation from Mamata Banerjee: BJP hits back at WB CM over remarks in Assembly

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),  lashed out at Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her remarks regarding PM Narendra Modi. Speaking in the West Bengal Assembly, Banerjee had on Monday claimed that the central probe agencies were not being controlled by PM Narendra Modi, but were reporting to the ‘Home Ministry’
“No one in BJP, and most certainly PM, needs any validation from Mamata Banerjee. Her entire government, top ministers, party office bearers and immediate family is under radar of central agencies, because the courts ordered investigation…,” Amit Malviya, BJP Co-incharge for West Bengal said.
Commenting on Banerjee’s remarks, TMC MP Saugata Roy said that only she could elaborate upon the political significance of her statement. “WB Assembly passed resolution yesterday that CBI-ED is being misused. CM had said, she thinks that CBI-ED actions aren’t being taken under PM’s direction but under provocation by other BJP people. Only she could say what is its political significance,” he said.
I believe Modi hasn’t done this: What Mamata Banerjee said
The West Bengal Assembly, on Monday, passed a resolution against the ‘excesses’ of the central probe agencies. Speaking in the Assembly, Banerjee said that the resolution was not targetted at any party or individual, but alleged that the CBI and ED were ‘reporting to the Home Ministry’.
“Businessmen are leaving the country and running away. They are running away because of fear and misuse of ED and the CBI. I believe Modi hasn’t done this… Many of you don’t know that the CBI doesn’t report to the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) any more. It reports to the Home Ministry. Some BJP leaders are conspiring and they go to Nizam Palace often,” she had said.
