Priyanka Chopra is a global celebrity in addition to being one of the top stars in India. Hero: The Love Story of a Spy and Andaaz, two films that the actress appeared in, marked her acting début in 2003. Raj Kanwar was the director of the latter, which Suneel Darshan had produced. Priyanka appeared in the movie with Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Darshan discussed the casting of Andaaz and mentioned that Priyanka caught his attention right away because of how different she was.
He said, “She had this dark complexion and a few defects to correct at that point but she had the hunger. This mellifluous voice of hers my God was gorgeous. My entire team used to be like Lara Dutta… Lara Dutta… but I said that the dark horse, the Rekha is coming. That is Priyanka Chopra.”
Darshan further revealed that he was the one who persuaded Akshay and Priyanka to join Aitraaz. PC had begun to cry when she was given the role of a vamp, but Darshan reassured her that the movie would be very beneficial to her in the long term.
Talking about PeeCee’s professional endeavours, she has a bunch of intriguing films in the works. Her latest film was The Matrix Resurrections, an American movie starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, and Neil Patrick Harris.
Priyanka will also appear in Ending Things and It’s All Coming Back To Me. Apart from this will also feature in the Bollywood film Jee Le Zaraa, starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, directed by Farhan Akhtar
