After Akhilesh Yadav offers CM seat to Keshav Prasad Maurya, UP BJP chief says Samajwadi Party should worry about its own MLAs

A day after Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav “offered” the CM post to Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, UP BJP chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary  hit back at him saying he should worry about his own MLAs and alliance.
Chaudhary also claimed that several Samajwadi Party MLAs are in touch with the BJP.
During a TV programme yesterday, Akhilesh Yadav advised Maurya to take a cue from the political developments in Bihar and offered him to join the SP with 100 MLAs, saying he will be made the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
It should be noted that Maurya was retained in the second Yogi Adityanath government as the deputy chief minister.
Hitting back at Yadav, Chaudhary said, “Keshavji is a proven worker of the organisation and dedicated to the BJP’s ideology. He will always be with us, he is not a selfish person. He will control Akhilesh Yadav, he (Yadav) won’t be able to control him.”
Continuing with his tirade, the newly-appointed state BJP chief said, “Akhilesh Yadav should worry about his alliance, his family, his party and also his MLAs because his MLAs are in touch with us.”
Last month, Akhilesh Yadav hailed the political developments in Bihar where Janata Dal (United) supremo Nitish Kumar broke away from the BJP and stitched a new alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) to form a new government.
The SP chief opined that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is staring at a similar situation with its allies in Uttar Pradesh as well.
Yadav, who gave up his Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat after becoming an MLA, is serving as the leader of the opposition in the Assembly.
