Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is all set to release on September 9. The film’s producers had a special screening on Monday in Mumbai before the movie officially hit the theatres.
Parents to be Ranbir and Alia were accompanied by the latter’s sister Shaheen Bhatt and the film’s director Ayan Mukerji for exclusive screening. In the midst of these recent events, it has now come to light that the movie has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.
According to a report by The Indian Express, the movie had a near to three-hour runtime. The fantasy story runs for 166 minutes (2 hours 46 minutes), which makes it a somewhat long movie. Early indications indicate that the movie might earn between Rs 18 and Rs 22 crore on its first day.
Brahmastra is said to be the most expensive movie to come out of Bollywood, which is why the film industry is placing its hopes on it because many recent Hindi films have struggled at the box office.
The movie’s budget was previously estimated to be approximately Rs 410 crore. The most costly Hindi film ever filmed, aside from pan-Indian movies like RRR, Saaho, and a few others. This includes YRF’s 2018 historical adventure Thugs of Hindostan which was purportedly made on a budget of Rs 310 crore.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is the first installment of the planned trilogy. The movie is being released in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi. Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni also appear in the movie in pivotal roles. According to Mouni Roy, Shah Rukh Khan will also make a surprise cameo in the movie.
