Kishore Kumar is among the most treasured gems of the Indian entertainment industry. The legendary actor-singer has been a part of numerous iconic projects that the audience likes to revisit to date.
Through hard work, self-belief and dedication, Kishore Kumar made a place for himself and saw massive success and fame coming his way. The O Mere Dil Ke Chain singer built an empire for himself and was a proud owner of a luxurious bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai, named Gouri Kunj.
Now, as per the latest reports, Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli has taken a huge portion of Kishore Kumar’s bungalow on rent. The former India captain will reportedly start an upscale restaurant in the premises of Gouri Kunj. For the unversed, Virat owns a chain of restaurants by the name One8 Commune.
The news of Virat renting a part of Gouri Kunj has been confirmed by Amit Kumar, son of Kishore Kumar himself. He revealed that the space has been leased to the right-handed batsman for a period of 5 years.
“We have leased out the space to Virat for 5 years,” Amit was quoted as saying by ETimes. He also added that the conversation about the same began when Leena Chandavarkar’s son Sumeet met Virat a few months ago. The two got to talking and the idea of Virat leasing the place came up.
Amid the reports, the Instagram bio of One8 Commune has been changed to ‘Juhu, Mumbai #ComingSoon’.
Virat, who is married to Anushka Sharma, started his journey in the hospitality sector with his restaurant Nueva, which is located in RK Puram in New Delhi. He recently launched two new outlets of One 8 Commune, one in Civil Lines in the national capital and the other in Golden Park, Kolkata.
