With her solid acting prowess and endearing personality, Jasmin Bhasin has established herself as one of the biggest stars in the Indian television industry. Her popularity grew manifold after she participated in the fourteenth season of Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss.
Jasmin remained in the limelight throughout the season for her chemistry with her boyfriend Aly Goni, who was also a part of the show. The duo received a lot of love and appreciation for not shying away from expressing their feelings to each other.
However, post her Bigg Boss 14 journey, Jasmin had to go through a rather tough time as she was subjected to a lot of hatred and negativity by a section of netizens. In a recent interview, Jasmin recalled the turbulent time and revealed that she had to take medical help in order to deal with the ‘toxic abuses’.
“Leave alone trolling, people hurled such toxic abuses at me when I left the Bigg Boss house. I received death and rape threats. And for what? Just because I did a show and they didn’t like me in it?” Jasmine told News18.
She added, “What I faced was very serious. All of that affected me mentally at some point. But I got over it with medical help and my friends and family who love me.
Jasmin further stated that with time, she has learned how to deal with online trolling and does not let it affect her anymore. She said that she now chooses to focus on the love and appreciation that come from her fans.
Speaking of Jasmin’s career trajectory, she has covered a long way to reach where she is today. She made her acting debut her debut with the 2011 Tamil film Vaanam. She rose to prominence when she appeared in popular Hindi TV shows such as Dil Se Dil Tak, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, and Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, among others.
