Sidhu Moose Wala’s family demands justice, organises candle march in Punjab’s Mansa

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s gruesome murder sent shock waves across the world on May 29, 2022. The rapper, songwriter and politician was shot dead in broad daylight by unidentified assailants when he was travelling in his car in Punjab’s Mansa district.
While suspected sharpshooters and the mastermind behind the killing were arrested in the murder case, the singer’s family is yet to get justice. To demand the same, Sidhu’s family organised a candle march
They asked fans to join them in Mansa for the procession n in Mansa. In the official statement, Sidhu’s family urged others to join them virtually.
“We request everyone, who cannot join us in Mansa today for the Candle March, to do the same in their neighbourhoods, towns or localities. Please email us the details of your organised candlelight vigils and we will share those on our social media platforms,” they wrote. “If you are unable to be a part of the March, kindly upload the above post on your social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) with a caption that includes #JusticeForSidhuMooseWala,” read the message.
Sidhu’s father shared the same post on his social media handle and urged fans to support them by participating.
Sidhu Moose Wala was 28. After his death, Canadian-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for it. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was arrested for his involvement in the murder case.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, the slain singer’s father alleged that close friends of Moose Wala were also involved in the killing.
