Somy Ali, who has spoken about her past relationship with Salman Khan on several occasions, has targeted the superstar in her latest social media post by calling him ‘a women beater’.
Salman and Somy are said to have dated each other in the 1990s and while the latter has not held herself from sharing personal details, the Dabangg actor has refrained from speaking about the relationship in public. Reports have it that Salman and Somy parted away on an ugly note.
Now, taking to Instagram, Somy took yet another potshot at Salman as she wrote, “A women beater, and not just me, but many. Stop worshiping him please. He’s a sadistic sick *#uk. You have no idea.” She also shared a poster of Salman’s Maine Pyar Kiya.
In one of her earlier interviews, Somy had claimed that she broke up with the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor because he cheated on her. “It’s been 20 years since I broke up with him. He cheated on me and I broke up with him and left. It’s as simple as that,” Somy had told Zoom.
However, in another interview, she spoke about having a great rapport with Salman’s parents. “What I learned from his parents is so phenomenal. They had an open house. Every day people would come and go. They would be loving and feed them. The door was never locked. Another pivotal lesson I learned is that we are all the same. They did not differentiate in religion at all,” Somy said during a conversation with The Free Press Journal.
Recalling how she confessed her feelings to Salman, she said, “We were heading to Nepal. I was sitting next to him. I just removed his photo showing it to him. I told him, ‘I have come all the way to marry you!’ He said, ‘I have a girlfriend.’ I said that doesn’t matter. I was a teenager. Our relationship started after a year when I turned 17. He did tell me first, ‘I love you.’ It didn’t take a lot of convincing.”
After her breakup with Salman, Somy quit Bollywood and moved to the US.
