Famed Bollywood director Sujoy Ghosh, known for films lie Kahaani, Badla and Netflix series Typewriter recently watched the latest Marvel offering on Disney Plus Hotstar and had some observations. For the unversed, the latest Marvel show to start streaming on the OTT platform is She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
For the unversed, She-Hulk is the last television series of Phase Four in the MCU. The eighth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, the show sees Tatiana Madlany star as Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk, along withJameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Segarra, Jon Bass, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, and Charlie Cox.
Earlier today filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh took to Twitter to share his views on She-Hulk. While the show has received generally positive reviews, with particular praise for Maslany’s performance and the lighthearted tone, Ghosh’s review was not exactly along the same lines.
The Kahaani director shared, “watched she hulk. kuch samajh mein nahin aaya! if blood can transform you into a super hero then spiders ka naukri gaya!!”
Interestingly, Ghosh is not the only high profile person to react to She-Hulk on social media.
In an interaction seen on the show between Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and his cousin, the Hulk reveals that Steve lost his virginity during the USO tour in 1943 to an unnamed girl.
Chris Evans also reacted to this new detail about his character. The actor took to Twitter to react to the same as he posted, three laughing faces and a mouth-zipped emoji to reveal his amusement over the same. Later, Mark Ruffalo also responded to Evans’ reaction and wrote in his response on Twitter, “Sorry bro. It was under extreme duress.” Meanwhile, She-Hulk writer Jessica Gao in an appearance on Deadline’s “Hero Nation” podcast has also explained that the joke came about due to conversations with her own friends.
