Amit Burman quits as Dabur chairman; will continue as non-executive director

FMCG major Dabur  announced that the board has accepted Amit Burman’s resignation as the Chairman with effect from August 10, 2022. He will, however, continue to serve as the non-executive director of the company.
The board has also given its nod to the appointment of Mohit Burman, who is currently the Non-Executive Vice Chairman, as the Non-Executive Chairman of the board for a period of five years with effect from August 11, 2022.
Apart from this, Saket Burman has been appointed as the non-executive vice-Chairman of the board of directors for five years w.e.f. August 11, 2022, the company said in an exchange filing.
Amit Burman became the chief executive of Dabur Foods in 1999 when the company forayed into the processed foods business. The company was merged into Dabur India Ltd in July 2007 and it was when Burman stepped down from this role and got appointed the vice chairman of the merged entity.
He took charge as the Chairman of Dabur India Ltd in 2019.
