After a thumping win in the first T20I, Team India came down crashing in the second at the Warner Park in St. Kitts owing to some beautiful bowling by left-arm pacer Obed McCoy and some unnecessary shots, which caused the downfall of the batters on a pitch that was helping the seamers, especially at the start.
Skipper Rohit Sharma said that there was no need for panic as they are still in trying stage of their new approach and there will be games like that where they will be shot out for modest totals even before they complete their 20 overs but it was important for guys to keep believing in that approach despite wickets falling at the other end.
India were skittled out for just 138 but the bowlers kept the visitors in the hunt as the hosts chased the total down only in the final over of the match. For West Indies, it was an important game from the confidence point of view as they had lost seven games in a row (ODIs and T20Is) and as skipper Nicholas Pooran mentioned, the win was a relief more than anything else.
The hosts would be keen on increasing their lead as they will know as India will come hard at them again and they will have to garb them by horns to get the result in their favour, for the second time in a row.
Who will win WI vs IND 3rd T20I: Skipper Rohit asked for better application from the batters but not losing the mindset and approach being aggressive after the second T20I. Expect the Indian team to come out all guns blazing with Rohit leading from the front. India might make a couple of changes in the batting department and any of Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda or Sanju Samson will only add to the firepower the Men in Blue possess, especially in the lower middle order. Team India are tipped to take a lead of one game going into the two matches in the USA.
