The Bharatiya Janata Party has registered a ‘spectacular’ victory in the Madhya Pradesh Janpad Panchayat Elections held . State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed in the evening that out of the 170 Janpad Panchayats for which elections were held, the ruling BJP has won in 121 of them and managed to install its presidents there.
Chouhan said the Congress party failed to win even a single Janpad seat in many districts. He described the BJP’s win in today’s election as “historic and unprecedented”.
“Today, in the Janpad Panchayat Elections, the BJP registered a spectacular victory. Elections were in 170 Janpad Panchayats and the BJP got its president on 121 of them. Congress didn’t get even one Janpad seat in several districts. It’s a historic, unprecedented and spectacular success,” said the MP CM.
“I thank the public and the people in rural areas. I also congratulate all presidents and vice presidents. I assure the public that under the leadership of PM Modi, an Atmanirbhar Bharat is being built. For a self-reliant India, atmanirbhar villages and atmanirbhar development blocks are our goal,” the BJP leader added.
It may be noted here that the elections were held to elect presidents and vice-presidents on these 170 Janpad seats.
