It’s all things Darlings for Alia Bhatt lately as the actor has stepped in the shoes of producer for her upcoming film that also stars Ajay Varma, Shefali Shah, and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles.
The film, Darlings is bankrolled by Red Chillies Entertainment, owned by Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan, which makes it doubly special
The trailer of the film has received a massive response and fans cannot wait to unearth every sphere of this dark comedy that has much more than humour to offer.
Now, taking to his Twitter account, Shah Rukh Khan, penned an absolute sweet message for his fellow producer. Yes, calling her the ‘soul and sunshine’ of the film, he wrote, “Lil one I am also so anxious that u shared the responsibility of Eternal Sunshine Productions first film with me…that I will be biting my nails till it releases.”
Calling Darlings a ‘lovely film’ he further wrote,” But I feel we have a lovely film and u r the soul and sunshine of all things Darlings.”
Well, SRK is the biggest motivator and a great co-producer one can ask for and we are sure Alia believes this to the fullest!
Earlier, sharing the news with her fans, Alia wrote, “My first film as a producer!!! So excited nervous thrilled emotional to share it with you!!!! “
About the film
The film is said to be a dark comedy. It is directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, which also marks her directorial debut. The film will release on Netflix on August 5.
