Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has become the highest taxpayer in the entertainment industry again. He is not only one of the most loved but also one of the busiest actors in the film fraternity.
Akshay does more than 4-5 films in a year. Most of his films manage to do massive business at the box office. The actor has not only become the highest taxpayer but also received an honorary certificate from the Income Tax Department.
As per reports, Akshay has retained the title of the highest taxpayer for the past five years. The actor is currently shooting in the UK and his team accepted the honor certificate from Income Tax Department on his behalf.According to Pinkvilla, “He has the maximum number of films today, as well as ruling the endorsement world. It’s no surprise for him to feature in the highest taxpayer list of India”
On the work front
The actor has a string of interesting projects to release. He will star in Ram Setu, Selfie, and Raksha Bandhan. He is also in talks for Oh My God 2 which will reportedly star Yami Gautam. Akshay’s last few films such as Samrat Prithviraj and Bachchaan Paandey failed to make a mark. The films were massive flops and did not do a great collection at the box office.
Apart from that, Akshay was seen with Samantha Ruth Prabhu on the third episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7. The duo had a blast on the couch and spilled many secrets about their personal and professional lives.
