Police case filed against Ranveer Singh for nude photoshoot, NGO says it hurts sentiments

Ranveer Singh seems to have gotten in trouble over his nude photoshoot. While everyone has been talking about it by and large, it seems to have hurt some sentiments. After the photos went viral, memes and trolls took over the internet. But now, a complaint has been filed by an NGO with the Chembur Police Station.
The complaint against Ranveer Singh said, “We are an NGO working towards betterment of the society especially education of kids and farm widows in the name of…”
It further stated, “We always support that there should be freedom of speech and expression but that doesn’t mean that you should roam nude in the society. The actors in India are called Nayak and the people of India follow them, in some part of India and people even worship them as God. By doing such acts the actors like Ranveer Singh try to get cheap publicity at the cost of sentiments of the people.”
Meanwhile, actors like Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, among others only have nice things to say about Ranveer Singh’s photoshoot and believe in one’s own discretion. However, some sections have been hurt by the photoshoot and hence, the complaint.
The complaint also stated, “I would like to lodge a complaint against Ranveer Singh under section 67A of IT Act along with section 292, 293, 354 and 509 if Indian Penal Code for hurting sentiments and insult the modesty of a women.”
On the work front, Ranveer is currently gearing up for his movie with Rohit Shetty, Cirkus. The actor is shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Alia Bhatt. He recently was in the news for Netflix’s Ranveer vs Wild with Bear Grylls.
The actor also grabbed a lot of attention for his last film which was Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Though the movie did not do very well at the box office, the movie did receive decent praise from fans and critics alike.
