Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: Karnataka govt orders all madrasas to hoist national flag from August 11-17

In the backdrop of celebration of Azadi Ka Amit Mahotsav, the Karnataka government has made it mandatory for the madrasas to hoist the national flag for six days from August 11 to August 17.
The government order stated that all educational institutions, including schools, colleges and madrasas should hoist the Tricolour on the occasion of celebration of 75 years of Independence for the above-mentioned time period.
The Karnataka government’s directive on national flag applies to the government, aided, private and unaided schools, colleges, educational institutions and madrasas.
IANS quoted sources saying that the Block Education Officers (BEO) will monitor hoisting of the flags at the grassroots level.
The BJP-led government direction has also asked the teachers and non-teaching staff to hoist the national flag on their residences.
