Over the years, the actress has invested in various companies establishing herself also as a businesswoman. She explained that it was her interest to explore uncharted waters in the field of venture capitalism that pushed her to invest in companies she liked.
Here are some of the companies that have Priyanka Chopra as an investor:
1. Bumble
The online dating app founded in 2014 is a women-led company and has Whitney Wolfe Herd as its CEO. Priyanka invested in the company in 2018 and also became an advisor for the dating app during its India launch.
2. Holberton School
Holberton School is a company that helps students in acquiring programming skills that would help them to perform better in their jobs after graduation. Priyanka invested around $8.2 million and mentioned that she made this investment as the company’s aims sync with her goal of emancipating and empowering women through technology.
3. Apartment List
Apartment List, a real estate company launched in 2011, started an online marketplace that provided apartment listings. The vision of the venture was to facilitate simple renting options to the general public. Priyanka invested in the rental marketplace in 2020 and joined the board of directors which also included American singer Lizzo, NBA player Andre Iguodala, amongst others.
4. Perfect Moment
Perfect Moment, a luxury skiwear brand has Priyanka Chopra along with her husband Nick Jonas as the investors in the fashion wear business. According to sources, the brand will grow and evolve under the stewardship of the couple. This investment marks the first foray of the actress into the fashion industry
5. Genies
Genies is a virtual avatar company that creates digital avatars and collectibles of artists for commercial purposes. Priyanka along with Camila Cabello and Paris Hilton have invested in this company.
6. Anomaly Haircare
Last year, the actress started a vegan and sustainable haircare line Anomaly, which has a range of affordable and chemical-free products. Priyanka launched the hair care brand with the foundation so that it may cater to the needs of the target groups.
7. Sona and Sona Home
Priyanka along with her Indian restaurant Sona also recently started a homeware venture of the chain Sona Home. She collaborated with restaurateur Maneesh Goyal to showcase her home décor brand that reflects Indian heritage and culture.
