The wedding rumours of Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty with her boyfriend and cricketer KL Rahul has been making rounds in media for a long time now. Reportedly, the Hero actress will be tying the knot with KL Rahul in three months.
Though Athiya has kept her lips sealed to her wedding reports till now, she recently took to her social media and reacted to the rumours. She shared a story on her Instagram and hoped that she would get invited to the wedding that is taking place in three months.
Athiya wrote on her Instagram, “I hope I’m invited to this wedding that’s taking place in 3 months, lol.”
Athiya’s father and actor Suniel Shetty also reacted to the wedding rumours during a conversation with Radio Mirchi and cleared the air for once and for all. The Hera Pheri actor revealed that all these are rumours and no such arrangements are being made. He was quoted saying, “No, nothing has been planned yet!” Suniel then continued, “As far as the wedding is concerned, there are no arrangements being made. There is no such ceremony, these are all rumours. When there is no wedding, how can we give you a date?
However, according to a report of India Today, KL Rahul’s parents recently came to Mumbai to meet Suniel and Mana Shetty. The report further added that they visited the new home where Athiya and Rahul would be moving soon. The source told the publication, “Rahul’s parents were recently in Mumbai to meet Athiya’s family. The couple, along with their families, visited the new house where they will be moving in soon, to see the progress. The wedding is expected to take place in the next three months in Mumbai. It will be a grand celebration for both the families and every detail of the wedding is being overseen by the bride herself.”
Talking about her upcoming projects, Athiya Shetty will be next witnessed in a lead role in footballer Afshan Ashiq’s biopic film, Hope Solo, reportedly.
