One of the most beloved cricketers of all time, MS Dhoni turns a year younger on July 07, 2022. A global cricketing icon, Dhoni has left a lasting impression on the lives of several cricketers. As the wicket-keeper batsman turns another chapter, wishes poured in on social media from fans and cricketers on this special occasion.On the occasion of Dhoni’s 41st birthday, Suresh Raina was one of the first cricketers to take to Twitter and greet the Ranchi-born cricketer. The bond that Raina and Dhoni share isn’t hidden from anyone. The southpaw’s wish, hence, was an extremely special one.
“Happy Birthday to my big brother. Thank you for being my biggest supporter and mentor in every phase of life, may god bless you and your family with good health always. Much love to you mahi bhai. Wishing you a great year ahead!,” wrote Raina.
Mohammad Kaif also took to Twitter, narrating how it was Sourav Ganguly who taught youngsters how to win while Dhoni helped them make winning a habit.
“Dada taught us youngsters how to win and Dhoni made it into a habit. Two great leaders from different eras born just a day apart. Happy birthday to the men who shaped Indian cricket,” tweeted Kaif.
Dhoni is celebrating his 41st birthday in England. He was spotted watching a tennis match at the Wimbledon Championships on Wednesday. Later, pictures from the grand celebrations of Dhoni’s birthday surfaced online. Some of these pictures were even shared by his wife Sakshi.
Dhoni remains one of the most successful captains the game of cricket has ever seen. He led the Indian team to win the 2011 ODI World Cup, 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He is the only captain to have led a team to all three ICC trophies in limited-overs cricket.
Dhoni represented the Indian team in 90 Tests, 348 ODIs and 98 T20Is, scoring more than 10,000 ODI runs, and near about 5,000 runs in Tests.
