West Bengal: LoP Suvendu Adhikari writes to Amit Shah demanding NIA probe over ‘alarming situation’ in state

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari  wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) over the “alarming situation in West Bengal saying that the state has turned into a stockpile of explosives.”
In his letter, the BJP leader mentioned a particular incident of a bomb blast in Bengal’s Domkal town that took place today morning. A man lost his life, while three others were injured in the incident.
“This morning, the people of West Bengal woke up to yet another disturbing but now habitual news regarding the death of a man, who died when the crude bomb he was making went off. The deceased person ‘Sirajul’ was a well-known TMC worker and resident of Domkal Municipality in Murshidabad district. While he died, three others sustained grave injuries when some crude bombs which they were making went off,” he wrote.
He claimed that such activities take place in districts that are bordering Bangladesh.
“This kind of news often surfaces from the Murshidabad, Malda and South 24 Parganas districts, all bordering Bangladesh. For instance, on January 18, 2022, a 45-year-old man, named Yashuddin Sheikh, a resident of the Benadaha village, died and five others sustained injuries when some crude bombs which they were making exploded at Rameswarpur-Dakshinpara village in the Beldanga area of Murshidabad district,” the letter read.
