Ranbir is quite busy promoting his upcoming movie Shamshera, in which he will play a never-before-seen character and surprise his audience. In this movie, the actor will play a dacoit for the first time; in his prior performances, he primarily portrayed romantic, boy-next-door characters.
Ranbir spoke about his first paycheck and his mother Neetu Kapoor’s response to it during one of his promotional events.
Recently, in an interview with Mashable India, Ranbir responded to “most searched google questions” about himself. The Brahmastra actor said, “My first paycheck was Rs 250 that I got while assisting on Prem Granth. Like a good boy, I went to my mother’s room and I put it on her feet. She looked at it and she started crying and it was one of those filmy moments that I performed.”
He also disclosed that he uses social media covertly and has no followers. He brought up the idea of revealing his handle as well. Ranbir said, “See but the thing is I don’t post and have no followers. So, what’s the point?” He went on to say that the only reason he has an account is so that he may follow specific accounts. The Shamshera actor further added, “But other than that I have nothing. So, there’s no point.”
Regarding his next films, Ranbir will next be seen playing the lead opposite Alia Bhatt in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. Brahmastra marks the first on-screen collaboration of Ranbir Kapoor with his wife Alia Bhatt. The movie will consist of three separate parts. On September 9, 2022, the first part of Brahmastra is scheduled for release. Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Deepika Padukone in a cameo role.
Besides Shamshera and Brahmastra, Ranbir has Animal alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Luv Ranjan’s unnamed film opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
