Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most loved and celebrated TV sitcoms on Indian television. From little ones to the elderly, everyone enjoys this comic show to the fullest.
Over the years, the show saw many popular characters leaving the sitcom. Yes, you read that right. After Disha Vakani’s exit, many fans were left heartbroken as they missed their favourite Dayaben on the small screen.
Well, one of the actors who bid adieu to the show is Neha Mehta, who played Anjali Taarak Mehta for nearly 12 years on the show. She decided to exit the show in 2022 after being part of it for over a decade.
Now, talking to Times Of India, the actress revealed that she did not receive her dues for TMKOC for the last six months. Sighting the same, she said, “I acted in Taarak Mehta as Anjali for 12 years before quitting in 2020. The last six months’ money is pending. After I quit the show, I called them a few times regarding my pending dues. I don’t like complaining… hopefully, there will be a solution soon and I will get my hard-earned money.”
Shailesh Lodha, who used to play Anjali’s husband Taarak Mehta is also rumoured to have quit the serial. He is hosting a new poetry show, Waah Bhai Waah. Taarak Mehta is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. It will complete fourteen successful years next month.
