The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)  apprehended several individuals in connection with Rs 3 lakh alleged bribery case in the DCGI office, sources said. According to officials, the role of Joint Drugs Controller S Eswara Reddy is under the scanner. Sources told  that Dr Reddy, the number two in the Drug Controller General of India office has been nabbed while taking a bribe of Rs three lakh.

According to a report by news agency PTI, the CBI received inputs regarding alleged incidents of bribery. Subsequently, the probe agency carried out a trap operation in which some individuals were apprehended. Searches were conducted as a part of the operation.
