Lanacshire will face Nottinghamshire at Blackpool’s Stanley Park on Sunday (June 19) in the English T20 Blast encounter. Lancashire have enjoyed a dream run in the competition so far having won six out of their nine games in the competition so far. They currently sit on 2nd place in the North Group table with 13 points to their name a win tonight will see them upstage Northamptonshire and occupy the top spot.
As far as Nottinghamshire are concerned, they are struggling for form in the tournament and had a poor run so far. The Dan Christian led-side has just three wins in eight matches to their name. With a tally of 7 points, they are 8th in the table.
The reverse fixture between the two teams earlier in the season saw Lancashire thump Nottinghamshire by 87 runs at Trent Bridge. The hosts were dismissed for a score of 91 chasing a total of 179.
Lancashire will be without the services of Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone, and Phil Salt who are all away on national duty with England, who are playing a three-match ODI series against Netherlands at the moment.
Tim David has been their top-scorer in the 2022 T20 blast so far with a stunning tally of 301 runs in nine matches at a phenomenal strike-rate of 186.95. Richard Gleeson has starred with the ball for them and has 16 wickets so far.
On the other hand, Alex Hales has been Nottinghamshire’s most consistent batter with a tally of 201 runs at a stunning strike-rate of 218.47. Right-arm pacer Jake Ball has impressed with the ball and taken 11 wickets.
