Popular comedian Munawar Faruqui, who was also the winner of Kangana Ranaut hosted reality show Lock Upp Season 1, was reportedly going to be a part of Rohit Shetty hosted survival reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. However, going by Munawar’s latest social media update, it seems the famed comedian will not be a part of this season anymore.
Speculations were rife that he will be joining the show as a wild card entry. But what comes as a huge blow to his fans, the stand-up comedian has announced he will not be a part of the Rohit Shetty show.
Taking to social media, Munawar penned a note, writing, “Doston, kuch reasons ki wajah se mai nahi hissa ban paunga KKK ka. Im really sorry, yakeen mano mera bahot mann tha 💔 lekin kismat ko kuch manzur hai, aap sab disappoint ho, lekin nahi ja pane ka muje bhi bura lag raha hai… Entertainment aata rahega Need some time alone.”
A number of celebs commented on the post, with actor Ali Merchant writing, “Koi nahin meri jaan., Jo Uperwale ko Manzoor, Rockstar hai tu”. Former LockUpp contestant Nisha Rawal too commented on the post, writing, “I am sure there’s another huge door of amazing opportunities awaiting u!”
Politician Rrahul Narain Kanal too commented, writing, “We all are with you forever mere bhai… More power to you… Rab Rakha.”
Meanwhile, recently, Munawar Faruqui’s tweet on Justin Bieber’s facial paralysis drew flak from several netizens who were upset with his tweet, calling it distasteful. For the unversed, Munawar’s tweet read, “Dear Justin Bieber, I can totally understand. Even here in india right side not working properly.” He shared the tweet on his Instagram profile too.
There were reports earlier that the comedian won the Lock Upp trophy was supposed to be a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 but got stuck due to passport issues.
