Indian opener KL Rahul, who had been ruled out of the T20I series against South Africa, is set to miss the England tour where Team India will play seven matches. Rahul, who was set to lead India in the T20I series against South Africa, was ruled out at the last moment due to a groin injury.

Confirming the development to Cricbuzz, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah told Cricbuzz, “That is correct, the board is working on his fitness and he will be going to Germany soon.”

The report added that Rahul will leave for July either by the end of this month or by early July.
