After making fans wait for a long time, lovebirds Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan sealed the deal today. The couple exchanged wedding vows at a private resort in Mahabalipuram. Taking to Instagram, Vignesh treated fans to unmissable photos from the ceremony, and we just can’t get over how adorable they look together.
For the D-day, Nayanthara went for a stunning red saree, which she paired with heavy jewellery that had hints of green. The stunner kept her hair and makeup simple, letting her bridal attire do all the talking.
Interestingly, the actress’ wedding saree reminded us of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra’s bridal lehenga, which was also an embroidered red number and the diva had teamed it with heavy jewellery.
While Priyanka’s lehenga was by ace designer Sabyasachi, Nayanthara’s wedding saree was by the brand JADE by Monica and Karishma. On the official page of the brand, Nayanthara’s wedding saree has been described as “For the wedding ceremony, the bride Nayanthara wears a handcrafted saree in JADE’s signature Vermillion Red, custom designed by Monica Shah. The intricately realized tone on tone embroidery is inspired by the carvings of the temples of Hoysala. Meanwhile, while sharing this stunning photo of Nayanthara on Instagram, Vignesh penned the sweetest note. It read, “From Nayan mam … to Kadambari … to #Thangamey …. to my baby ….. and then my Uyir … and also my Kanmani ….. and now … MY WIFE.”
Along with this post, Vignesh wrote, “On a scale of 10 … She’s Nayan & am the one By God’s Grace 🙂 jus married #Nayanthara”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vignesh and Nayanthara had collaborated for the film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. The movie also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles.
