Want to be remembered as a good human: Dhoni’s old video resurfaces after gesture towards specially-abled fan

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is considered one of the greatest players to have played the game. Not just for his brilliant mind on the field, Dhoni is popular amongst current and former cricketers for being a genuinely good-natured guy and how he comforted new and young cricketers and how he respected the experienced ones.Dhoni’s recent kind gesture with a specially-abled fan has won the internet over. Dhoni met Lavanya Pilania, who is a great fan of his and she couldn’t stop talking about he memorable the meeting went at the Ranchi Airport. Now a day after the pictures of the meeting went viral, Dhoni’s old video has resurfaced where the 40-year-old is talking about how important it is to be remembered as a good human being rather than a good cricketer.
“For everyone what I would like is tomorrow when I am not playing cricket I want people — whoever I have met — to actually remember me as a good human being rather than a good cricketer and that would be a big compliment for me once I stop playing cricket that they just remember the fact that he used to play cricket but he was a good human being,” Dhoni had said.
Talking about the meeting, Lavanya took to Instagram to share the pictures and video of the same, “Feeling of meeting him is something I can’t put in words, he is kind, sweet & soft spoken. The way he asked me about my name spelling, he shaked my hand & when he said “RONA NAHI” & wipe my tear it was a pure bliss for me. He said “THANK YOU” to me for his sketch & said “MAIN LE JAUNGA” & the words he spoken to me will be remembered by me forever.
“He gave me his precious time was something I can’t express through words. When I said him “AAP BAHUT ACHE HO” his reaction was priceless. 31 MAY, 2022 will be special for me forever,” she further added.
Dhoni, who recently led the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 edition confirmed that he will return for the Men in Yellow in the next season.
