Deepika Padukone is leaving her fans breathless with every look from the 75th Cannes Film Festival. As a jury member at this year’s marquee event, the actress is also setting the internet ablaze with her red-carpet looks and chic street style outfits. For her latest outing, Deepika wore an ethereal white saree by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, gathering applause from fashion enthusiasts.
Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika wore a hand-embroidered collar along with the drape that added sophistication and elan. According to an ETimes report, the intricate ivory collar is made from approximately 1,200 pearls and 200 crystals.
As per the designer duo’s Instagram caption, the actress opted for the “Celestial Grace” theme. “She wears an off-white saree featuring a trail and dramatic pleated ruffles. A bustier with pearls and crystals and a spectacular, hand-embroidered, statement pearl collar completes the ethereal look,” read the caption for the saree’s description.
The Bollywood powerhouse’s 9-yard was draped by Dolly Jain, who is known to have draped sarees for many celebs like Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and others in the past. Sharing pics of Deepika on Insta, Jain wrote, “What an honour to be here, to drape this diva as she represents our roots in an iconic ruffle saree.”
For her makeup, the 36-year-old actress went with a warm-toned look in yellow and brown. With perfect contouring, she opted for oodles of mascara, glossy brown eyeshadow and highlighter and matte brown lipstick. She tied her hair into a sleek bun with a middle partition.
