Reactions pour in after Sidhu Moose Wala shot dead in Punjab, BJP says ‘Bhagwant Mann, Kejriwal should be booked’

After famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday, political parties condemned the brutal murder and expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
The incident took place a day after the Punjab government withdrew his security cover.
The singer had joined the Congress party in December last year.

Reacting to the murder, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said: “Deeply shocked and saddened by the murder of promising Congress leader and talented artist, Sidhu Moosewala. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans from across the world.”
Randeep Singh Surjewala said he is deeply shocked at the broad daylight murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
“Punjab & Punjabis across the world have lost a talented artist with mass connect, who could feel people’s pulse. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans across the world. Randeep Singh Surjewala,” he said in a tweet.
Pawan Khera called Moose Wala’s death absolutely shocking.
The BJP said it has been warning the AAP government to pay attention to Punjab’s situation.
“I demand an FIR against Bhagwant Mann for the negligence of his Chief Ministerial duties which has cost the life of #sidhumoosewala. Bhagwant Mann along with Arvind Kejriwal should be booked under Section 302,” said Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
In a video message, Sirsa said that the law and order situation in Punjab is totally out of control now.
“Yesterday @AAPPunjab Govt removed security of social celebrities & today famous #PunjabiSinger @INCPunjab leader #SidhuMoosewala shot at by unknowns at Mansa,” he said in a tweet.
‘AAP govt has miserably failed, nobody is safe in Punjab’
Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that law and order has completely collapsed in Punjab and criminals have no fear of law.
AAP government has miserably failed. Nobody is safe in Punjab, he added.
BJP leader Sunil Jakhar said the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala is utterly shocking. Aam Adami Party must be held accountable for tinkering with security issues to gain cheap publicity, he tweeted.
