Nawab Malik to ED: ‘Haseena Parkar’s driver Salim Patel was NCP activist’

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is probing the Goawala Compound in Kurla money laundering case. In which Nawab Malik, who is also a senior NCP leader, told ED, “I have known Salim Patel since 2002. He was an NCP activist and was working under the leadership of Chandrakant Tripathi, the then NCP president of Mumbai.” When further enquired about Salim Patel, Malik cited that Patel did not have any criminal record in 2005.
Salim Patel had received Rs. 15 lakh from Nawab Malik’s company Solidus Investment Pvt. Ltd in a transaction involving the Goa compound, as per information received, adding that Nawab Malik’s brother Aslam Malik also has an important role in the affairs of the Goa compound case.
International Don Dawood Ibrahim’s kin and his nephew Alishah Parkar, who is son of Haseena Parkar has revealed location of Dawood before the central agency. While recording his statement before the ED, Alishah informed that Dawood stays in Karachi, Pakistan. As per his statement, Dawood operates all his hawala businesses from Pakistan.
Haseena Parkar’s son Alishah Parkar confirmed that Salim Patel, who used to work for Haseena, used to handle Goawala compound dispute and that Malik took over the property from them. Salim Patel used to handle monetary dealings for Haseena and was a very close associate in D-Gang.
Meanwhile, seven commercial, agricultural, and residential properties related to Nawab Malik have been provisionally attached by ED.
