Anand Mahindra honoured by US School where his father was 1st Indian graduate

Industrialist Anand Mahindra  shared that he has become the 1st Indian to address the School’s Class Day at The Fletcher School in Boston, US. The Mahindra Group chairperson also received the Dean’s Medal at the School.Not just this, but Mahindra’s father was the 1st Indian Graduate of the School 75 years ago. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday to share the news, the industrialist said, “My father Harish was the 1st Indian Graduate of the @FletcherSchool in Boston 75 years ago.”
He further added, “In the 75th year of Indian Independence, I was honoured to be the 1st Indian to address the School’s Class Day & receive the Dean’s Medal. I felt I received it as a proxy for my father.”
The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy is the graduate school of international affairs of Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts. It is one of the country’s oldest graduate schools of international relations and is well-ranked in its masters and doctoral programs.

On May 8, Mother’s Day, Mahindra gifted a new house to Tamil Nadu’s Idli Amma on Mother’s Day and fulfilled the promise he had made to her. The entrepreneur and billionaire shared a video on Sunday that shows K Kamalathal, affectionately known as Idli Amma, inaugurating her new house complete with a ‘special kitchen’ designed specifically for her.
The businessman wrote, “Immense gratitude to our team for completing the construction of the house in time to gift it to Idli Amma on #MothersDay She’s the embodiment of a Mother’s virtues: nurturing, caring & selfless. A privilege to be able to support her & her work. Happy Mother’s Day to you all!”
