Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded PM Modi for ‘ending the differences between Northeast and Delhi’ while addressing the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Ramakrishna Mission in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district. Shah also praised the prime minister for ‘paying attention and giving importance to the languages of the Northeast.’
“During 2014-2022, PM Modi has ended differences between north east& Delhi. No one cared about the languages of the northeast but PM has given importance to them,” Shah said.
Day 1
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh. He is set to attend various programmes, inaugurate many development projects in the Northeastern state and interact with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel – the Central Armed Police Forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs deployed in the region to guard Border and maintain the internal security.
Amit Shah also highlighted the resolution of the border issues between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. “Bodoland’s issue was resolved. 60% of border-related issues have been resolved between Arunachal Pradesh & Asam. The aim is to develop all 8 states,” he said.
Day 2
On the second day of his visit, the Union Minister will meet with social organisations at the Namsai town in Arunachal Pradesh and offer prayers at the Golden Pagoda Temple in the area. He is also scheduled to attend a public meeting and inaugurate various developmental projects in the Namsai area on Sunday.
Later in the day, Shah will interact with Army, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles, Border Road Organisation, and National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDLC) personnel at Namsai and review security and development.
