VJ Andy issues clarification after Tejasswi Prakash’s fans call him out for ‘bodyshaming’ actress

Since morning, Twitter has been trending “ANDY STOP BODYSHAMING WOMEN” and many wondered about it. It so happened that Bigg Boss 15 winner Tejasswi Prakash had recently entered the reality show, Lock Upp, as the warden. The actress had worn an edgy black outfit which consisted of a corset top that seemed to have extra padding.
While the gorgeous couple took the internet by storm with their outfits, popular VJ and social media influencer Andy Kumar, who was seen in Bigg Boss 7, commented on Tejasswi’s outfit. During a LIVE session on YouTube, Andy talked about the actress’ “heavily padded” corset.
He was heard saying, “Jo corset andar pehna tha na, yaha se (pointing at chest) itni padding thi ki lagraha tha ki andar se kuch lagaya huwa hai. Woh jo KV (Karanvir Bohra) ne santre nahi daale the Saisha ke liye, aisa lagraha tha. Aisa kyun kiya? Why? (The cost that she wore looked like she added extra layers.)”
Many fans of Tejasswi called Andy out for his “insensitive” remarks and slammed him for body-shaming the actress over her outfit. This led to “ANDY STOP BODYSHAMING WOMEN” trending on Twitter.
A few minutes back, Andy Kumar issued a clarification about his remarks and said that his comment was directed towards the dress and the designer and not Tejasswi. He replied to a troll and said that he was actually “praising her”.
“Yes the whole point was she’s not big why try to make her look so? Very much on dress & designer. If you’ve seen it, do you not remember I was praising her?? But hey you only wanna see it in a negative way that shows youre POV. Not mine,” he wrote
Tejasswi Prakash appeared on the reality show Lock Upp during a recent episode with beau Karan Kundrra who made several appearances as the jailer.
