Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who’s known for not mincing her words, once again took a potshot at her arch-enemy Karan Johar. The feud that started at KJo’s chat shows Koffee With Karan after Kangana called him the ‘flagbearer of nepotism’ refuses to die down. And it looks like Kangana is not planning to bury the hatchet anytime soon.
In a fresh salvo, Kangana Ranaut took a jibe at Karan Johar and called him a ‘fading 90s director’. Interestingly, the Dhaakad actress was trying to kill two birds with one stone. Wondering who the other one is? It was streaming giant Netflix. Yes, you heard that right!
Kangana on Thursday penned a note praising Amazon Prime Video and slammed its rival Netflix. “Data suggests that Amazon Prime Video is doing way better than Netflix in India maybe because they are much more open-minded and democratic, when international head visits India they don’t park themselves at a fading 90s director’s infamous party but meet everyone who is contributing to them, ” she wrote.
“Last I heard Netflix’s head was not able to understand the Indian market… Well, the Indian market is not just one bitchy gossipy nineties director…. There are hundreds of talented people here,” she added.
Notably, Kangana Ranaut’s production debut Tiku Weds Sheru will release on Prime Video. The announcement was made hours before Kangana Ranaut’s fiery post where she took potshots at Karan Johar
It is also worth noting that Karan’s Dharma Productions’ licensing association with the streaming platform was announced the same day. Prime Video will premiere Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani‘s Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Vicky Kaushal-starrer Govinda Naam Mera and Karan’s next directorial venture Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
