Ranbir Kapoor was spotted in Andheri at T-Series office today. This is the actor’s first casual appearance after his wedding to longtime girlfriend Alia Bhatt. The duo tied the knot on April 14 and their wedding was intimate yet lavish which was attended by the likes of Karan Johar, Shweta Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Ayan Mukherji and more.
Yesterday, Alia and Ranbir hosted a reception ceremony for their friends from the industry and today afternoon, the actor got spotted by the shutterbugs in the city. He was seen wearing cargo pants with a roomy checked shirt. Ranbir rounded his look with a baseball cap and white sneakers. The actor refused to pose for the paps and simply rushed to meet his colleagues.
In the photos that surfaced online, the actor can be seen giving a thumbs up to the shutterbugs who are congratulating him for his marriage.
Prior to the wedding, many media reports claimed that Alia and Ranbir will be taking a break from work for around 15 days. However, with Ranbir’s current media spotting, we are not sure if the newlyweds plan to take a break and relax. There is no update about their honeymoon either.
They both have first their film, Brahmastra, coming up in September and soon they will get busy promoting the same. The period drama marks Alia and Ranbir’s first film together. It is directed by Ayan Mukherji and apart from the newlyweds, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a significant role.
Coming to Alia and Ranbir’s wedding, it was a close knitted affair where only a handful people were invited. They hosted their wedding ceremony at RK’s Vastu apartment. In their joint statement after marriage, Ranbir and Alia revealed that they tied the knot in the apartment’s balcony as it was their favourite place.
A part of their statement read, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married.”
