Chhattisgarh CM denies seeking votes in Lord Ram’s name as ‘Ram Van Gaman Circuit’ completes phase 1

Congress MLA Vikas Upadhyay talked about the recent developments in the state’s Ram Van Gaman Path circuit. All those places where Lord Rama went during his exile have been turned into tourist & religious spots. Chhattisgarh government has completed the modification of over 75 places under ‘Ram Van Gaman Path,’ ANI reported.
Vikas Upadhyay noted that the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ of 9 places was conducted on Sunday in 1st phase. The ‘Ram Van Path Gaman’ tourism circuit is being developed with the aim of preserving the souvenirs of Lord Ram’s stay in Chhattisgarh during his exile of 14 years.
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Bahgel added that the state has a lot to offer to tourists when it comes to places of religious significance. Taking a dig at BJP, Baghel noted that asking for votes in the name of Lord Rama was never his agenda. “We just want to take forward our culture,” he said.
Ram Van Gaman Path’ is Chhatisgarh CM, Bhupesh Baghel’s dream project. It is estimated to be developed at a cost of Rs 138 crore. Chhattisgarh’s Home & Tourism Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu informed that 9 spots where Lord Rama is believed to have stayed are planned to be developed in the first phase of the project.
According to popular anecdotes, Lord Rama spent the majority of the time of his 14-year exile in the Dandakaranya region of Chhattisgarh. The region also happens to be the birthplace of Lord Rama’s mother, Mata Kaushalya. Chandkhuri region in the state capital Raipur is called the maternal home of Lord Rama. He is worshipped as a nephew in Chhattisgarh.
Earlier, the Chhattisgarh state government noted in a statement that the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit Project was initiated to promote cultural tourism and to conserve the historical event of Lord Ram’s exile period associated with Chhattisgarh.
