‘I would do a scan of my brain’: Virat Kohli on what he would do first if he wakes up as Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one of the biggest fans of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and on many occasions, he has expressed his fondness for the Portuguese legend who plays for Premier League club Manchester United. One of the greatest players of all time, Ronaldo is known for his goal-scoring abilities and his work ethic, because of which he has won numerous accolades during his glittering football career.
Virat has previously expressed his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, and in a recent video posted by the Royal Challengers Bangalore YouTube channel, when the former Indian captain was asked about his favourite athlete of all time, he quickly responded, “Cristiano Ronaldo.” And when asked what is the first thing that he would do if he woke up as Cristiano Ronaldo, Virat replied, “I would do a scan of my brain [if he was Ronaldo] and see where all that mental strength comes from (smiles).”
In the other segment of the video, when asked about the one game which broke his heart, Virat mentioned the two games which he was part of, and both of them happened in the year 2016. The first game which Kohli mentioned was the IPL final, which was played in Bengaluru, and despite having a good start in the 209-run chase, RCB went on to lose the decider by 8 runs.
The other game which Virat recalled was the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semi-final against West Indies at Wankhede Stadium. In that match, Virat scored an unbeaten 89 off just 47 balls to help India post a fighting total of 192 for 2, but still went on to lose the match by 7 wickets against the Men in Maroon.
IPL final 2016 (when asked about the game that broke his heart) and that same year, the 2016 World Cup semifinal at Wankhede against West Indies,” he recalled.
Virat is a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad as a player this time after leaving the captaincy at the end of last season. In the two matches that RCB have played this season, they have won one against KKR after losing the opener to Punjab Kings. The Faf du Plessis-led side will take on Rajasthan Royals in the third game on Tuesday (April 5).
