John Abraham refuses to talk about The Kashmir Files, calls journalist ‘dumb’ for asking questions about other film during Attack promotions

he Kashmir Files is undoubtedly one of the most successful films post the COVID-19 crisis. While Anupam Kher is receiving accolades for his performance in the film, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is being lauded for bringing attention to the plight of Kashmiri Hindus. The hard-hitting movie, which revolves around the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the Valley in the 1990s, has become the talk of the town ever since its release.
However, when John Abraham was asked to share his views on The Kashmir Files, the actor refused to comment. A miffed John even called out journalists for asking ‘ghise-pite’ questions. Not just Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, John didn’t even want the media to mention his own film Satyamev Jayate 2.
As per a report by India Today, John Abraham was present at a press conference for his upcoming film Attack, when he was asked to talk about The Kashmir Files. An irked John said that he hadn’t watched the film and hence had nothing to say about it. He then went on to warn the journalists against asking ‘ghise-pite’ questions and said that he will only answer those related to Attack.
He was quoted as saying, You are asked on the news desk to bring controversy, then you come here and say, ‘Tell us something about The Kashmir Files.’ Why will I do that?”
Later, when a journalist brought up John’s film Satyameva Jayate 2 while talking about action scenes, he called the person “dumb” and reiterated that he will only talk about his upcoming film. “If you have a problem with this, then I am sorry. I really offended you,” John said.
John also took a jibe at those asking “silly questions” and said, “People are so dumb.” The actor reportedly told a journalist, “Sorry sir, you left your brain at home. I apologise to everyone on your behalf.”
