Congress to launch ‘Mehngai Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ over rising inflation, fuel price hike from March 31

Congress is going to launch ‘Mehngai Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ over the issue of rising inflation and fuel price hike from 31st March to 7th April.
The protest will be launched in three phases.
Addressing the press conference, Randeep Surjewala slammed the Modi government accusing it of fleecing the people and filling the coffer.
Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi to join the protest
Surjewala also said that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will also join the protest against rising inflation and fuel price hike.
The constant fuel loot continues to cut holes in the pockets of the common person but does the government care, asked Surjewala.
Earlier today, the grand old party attacked the BJP after petrol and diesel prices were increased for the fourth time in five days and called it “shameless fleecing” of the public.
Rahul Gandhi also took a swipe at the government over the rising prices of fuel, saying “King prepares for the palace, while subjects reel under inflation.”
Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 80 paise a litre each on Saturday, the fourth increase in five days as oil firms passed on to consumers the spike in the cost of raw material.
After November 2021, the fuel prices were hiked for the first time on March 22 and since then the prices are continuously increasing.
‘BJP unleashed monster of fuel price hike to bulldoze common masses’
On March 24, Shiv Sena attacked the Centre over the spiralling inflation, saying the BJP has unleashed the “monster” of fuel price hike to bulldoze the common masses after the Assembly elections ended in five states this month.
Prior to the elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab, the Centre had decided to defer any hikes in prices of fuel or cooking, but after the polls, the BJP has revealed its true colours, Sena said.
Shiv Sena in its party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ said that the voters in the four states “donated” power to the BJP which has reciprocated with a “gift” of inflation by snatching away whatever money was left in the pockets of the people.
