Bhagwant Mann will set target for each minister; if it’s not met they will be removed: Arvind Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will set a target for each minister in his cabinet and if that is not fulfilled, the people “can demand that the minister be removed.
Addressing all the newly-elected AAP MLAs of Punjab via video conferencing, Kejriwal urged them to work with honesty and dedication for the welfare of people and function as a team. Kejriwal also advised them not to be rude with people or use objectionable language against anyone.
The AAP chief also praised Mann for his decisions related to the announcement of 25,000 government jobs and the withdrawal of security of former ministers and ex-MLAs.
“The whole country is talking about Bhagwant Mann and his works. Compensation for crops damaged in October has been released and farmers will get cheques in the coming days. In the last three days, Mann sahib, ‘tussi kamaal kar ditta’, we are really proud of you,” said Kejriwal.
“We have to work as a team. If we work as a team, leave behind our personal ambitions, then Punjab will progress…Bhagwant Mann will set a target for each minister and they have to do the work within the fixed time limit. You have to work day and night. If your target is not fulfilled then the public will say change the minister,” he added.
He also said that all the newly-elected MLAs will have to work together under the leadership of Mann, adding that “I’m like your elder brother to give guidance”.
The AAP chief also took a swipe at the BJP saying the party could not form government in four states till now – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa, despite emerging victorious there.
“The BJP which has won in four states is not able to form government till now due to fighting within the party,” Kejriwal said.
The AAP registered a thumping victory winning 92 of 117 seats in the state, decimating the Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party combine, BJP-Punjab Lok Congress-SAD (Sanyukt).
