Get ready to counter BJP in every village of Maharashtra: CM Uddhav Thackeray to Shiv Sainiks

Days after NCP chief Sharad Pawar asked young MLAs of Maha Vikas Aghadi to fiercely counter the “false narrative” of the BJP both within and outside the House, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday directed Shiv Sainiks to confront the saffron party in every village of the state.
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) success in the recently concluded assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur has made it more aggressive with political analysts saying that the saffron party may make a serious effort to dislodge the MVA government.
Uddhav has asked his party to destroy all attempts to malign Shiv Sena’s saffron.
‘BJP’s Hindutva, a Hindutva of opportunism’
Addressing party workers via video conference, Uddhav Thackeray called BJP’s Hindutva a “Hindutva of opportunism”.
Shiv Sainiks must show the BJP that Maharashtra is bursting with Hindutva, he said.
The CM also said that he would soon visit the various constituencies in the state soon and said that the Shiv Sena must prepare to counter the BJP in all those seats where it has won.
The BJP created a narrative in Uttar Pradesh that Hindus are in danger, Uddhav said and told his party workers to visit villages and propagate the views of Shiv Sena to counter the BJP.
On Friday, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar had advised the young leaders of his party to fiercely counter the false narrative set by the BJP both within and outside the House and also assured the young leaders that the government will complete its full term.
‘MVA MLAs seeking Maha progress must join BJP’
Responding to this, NCP leaders pledged to effectively combat the BJP not only in their own constituencies, but also in their respective districts and regions.
On Saturday, Union Minister Bhagwat Karad said that MVA MLAs in Maharashtra should join the BJP as the ruling alliance is beset with corruption.
He said the state cannot progress under such a coalition and it was imperative Maharashtra has a BJP government.
There are corruption allegations against several MVA ministers and in such a scenario, a government of three parties cannot bring about progress, for that Maharashtra needs a BJP government, he added.
