Vivek Agnihotri’s latest film The Kashmir Files has been grabbing a lot of attention from the viewers. The movie has been receiving praise from not only the audience but also from celebrities and politicians. According to the latest update by film critic Taran Adarsh, the movie is smashing records and is on its way to becoming a blockbuster. However, a recent comment by Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker did not go down well with those who have liked the movie.
The Kashmir Files has been receiving positive reviews from many Bollywood celebrities like Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, Hansal Mehta, and others. They have not only come out in support of the film but also requested the audience to watch the movie. However, many felt that in her latest tweet, Swara took an indirect dig at director Vivek Agnihotri.
Swara Bhasker shared a tweet that read, “If you want someone to congratulate you for the ‘success’ of your efforts.. maybe don’t spend the last five years shitting on their heads.. #justsaying”.
This tweet of the Tanu Weds Manu actress was not appreciated by a section of netizens who started trolling her on Twitter. One user wrote, “I think u got it all wrong Swara. Ppl are asking why prominent Bollywood stars haven’t said a word of appreciation for getting ppl back in cinemas. Operative word being ‘prominent’. You can chill. #TheKashmirFiles”. Another user commented, “Congratulations Swara!!! again you did it….successfully got attention of people from ‘someone else success’…but sorry this time only 100+ retweets…it seems people are busy in some useful work.”
One user called her ‘didi’ and requested her to watch the film. The user tweeted, “Swara Di please watch Kashmir files to understand terrorism and genocide. Very high Ratings. I have watched and bear your films and web series Di.
”The Kashmir Files has been the face of many controversies till now. The most prominent being the one with comedian Kapil Sharma who was alleged of not inviting the team of the film on his show. However, during a recent interview with Times Now, Anupam Kher clarified, saying that he was invited by Kapil to promote his movie but the former denied to do so as it is a film with a very serious issue and his show mainly revolves around comedy.
