India women will lock horns with the New Zealand women in the third W-ODI of the 5-match series at John Davies Oval, Queenstown, New Zealand on 18th February, Friday from 3:30 AM IST. It’s a must-win game for the Indian Women as they are closing in on another series defeat.

The Indian women started off well in the 2nd ODI as Sabbhineni Meghana came good at the top and missed out on a well-deserved half-century. Skipper Mithali Raj stood tall with the bat again for the visitors and notched up another crucial innings of 66 from 81 balls. Mithali was supported well by young keeper batter Richa Ghosh, who scored 65 off 64. Harmanpreet Kaur’s poor form continued and she only managed to score 10 off 18.

Smriti Mandhana will be available for the third game and bolster the Indian batting at the top. India will hope that she does well on her return to the side. Senior seamer Jhulan Goswami will also return to action after missing the second game due to a neck issue.

New Zealand Women chased down the mammoth 271-run target in 49 overs in the 2nd ODI. Amelia Kerr shone with the bat and scored 119 off 135.  The White Ferns kept losing wickets at regular intervals but still did the job.

Deepti Sharma was the only bowler who stood out against the New Zealand batting line-up. She finished her quota of 10 overs with the figures of 4/52. Her effort went in vain as the Kiwi women achieved the target at the end of the penultimate over. Sophie Devine recorded figures of 2/42 in her 8 overs and was the pick of the White Ferns bowlers.

Mithali Raj, Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine, Amelia Kerr and Deepti Sharma are the standout players who can be picked in your Dream11 team.India will go out all guns blazing to save the series.
