Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya had left millions heartbroken when, in a statement, the stars announced that they are parting ways. The estranged couple got married in October 2017 and till the time they were together, they shelled out major couple goals. In an old interview, at the time of her film Mahanati’s release, Samantha had talked about her past.

The actress had said that while doing the film, she, at times, felt that it was her own story. “In love, I too was blindly trusting (someone). But fortunately, I could escape by a whisker. I fell out of it,” Samantha said.

“Otherwise, my story would have been like Savitri’s. If I found Chay, it must be because of my ‘punyam’ and luck,” the actress had added while interacting with a Telugu daily.

Meanwhile, it was on October 2, 2021, when Samantha and Chay announced their separation. Sometime back, Samantha had made headlines when she deleted the announcement post from her social media. Her move made fans speculate if the estranged couple is getting back together.

However, the post on Chay’s social media reads: “To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”

On the work front, Samantha has many interesting projects coming up. The diva has teamed up with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi for Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal, which is being helmed by Vignesh Shivan. Earlier today, an update about the film’s release was shared online. It will hit the screens in April this year.

Samantha has also been making headlines for her song O Antava Mawa from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise. The track has gone viral and fans have been loving Samantha’s bold avatar.
