Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise has been shattering one record after another at the box office. The film, which had started off on a lukewarm note at ticket windows steadily made its presence felt over the weeks.

The Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer managed about Rs. 3 cr on its first day in the Hindi belt, owing to lack of promotions and poor distribution. However, the film struck a chord with the audiences and soon managed to give tough competition to Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – starrer 83. The film, which subsequently got released on OTT platforms even managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club at ticket windows.

The film which has been much appreciated across all quarters recently had veteran actor Anupam Kher say rave reviews about it.  The actor took to social media and tweeted, “Watched #Pushpa!! BLOCKBUSTER of a film in real sense. Larger than life, high on adrenal and full paisa Vasool. And dear @alluarjun  you are a #Rockstar!! Loved every nuance & attitude of yours. Hope to work with you soon. A big CONGRATULATIONS to the whole team! Jai Ho!”

Allu Arjun soon took to the comments section and replied to the actor, writing, “Anupam ji … it’s a pleasure to receive a heartfelt compliment from you . Humbled . So glad you felt all that . Hope to work with you too . Thank you for all the love.”

This is not the first time someone has had words of appreciation for the Allu Arjun starrer. The first part in a franchise, the film chronicles the journey of a lowly coolie who aspires to become big at all costs amidst the sandalwood smuggling syndicate.

As per reports, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa even managed to beat Prabhas starrer Baahubali: The Conclusion in its sixth week to secure the third spot in the list of highest sixth week nett grossers of all time.
